Information
Sometimes you may accidentally press a key combination that causes you screen to appear upside down or sideways, luckily this can be fixed just as easily as it can be caused.
Note that this only works for Intel integrated graphics, if you know you don’t have Intel graphics, you can check our other articles for your specific GPU vendor. If you’re unsure, you can try this solution as it won’t cause any harm to your machine.
Solution
- Locate the CTRL, ALT and Arrow Keys on your keyboard.
- Hold down the CTRL and ALT keys and press the arrow key that corresponds to how you want your display, you can follow this guide:
Up Arrow: Will show the display as it is meant to be, this will most often be the right way up for you.

Left Arrow: The left arrow will rotate the display counter-clockwise by 90 degrees.
Right Arrow: The right arrow will rotate the display clockwise by 90 degrees.
