Microsoft Word Header and Footer missing.

Information

Sometimes in word you will go to edit a document and find the Header and Footer are missing. This is normally caused by an accidental click and is simple to fix.

Solution

1. Open Microsoft Word and open any document or create a new one.
2. Make sure Word is in edit mode (there will be a yellow toolbar asking if you want to edit the document if you’re not in edit mode)
3. Move your mouse just above the top of the page in word and you will see your mouse change to 2 arrows pointing away from each other
   
4. Double-click when your mouse has the double arrows and your headers and footers will re-appear.

Tips

You can also hide the headers in the same way if your headers are already shown.
